Dr. Annie Wills joined Women’s Way in 2010, and came to us with excellent training and experience. She received her EdD in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University, after completing her Master’s Degree in Psychology at Middle Tennessee State University. Annie has worked as a Life Coach and Clinical Psychologist, and especially loves working with women. Annie’s role at Women’s Way is as an Emotional & Behavioral Coach along your weight loss journey. Though she is a psychologist, Annie does not interfere with existing therapy relationship (if you already have a therapist who you work with regularly). Annie’s focus is strictly on your relationship with food, and shifting your thoughts and behaviors to reflect your weight loss goals and the life you really want. Annie works with women individually and in groups. Annie guides the Mind/Body/Spirit session entitled “EFT for Cravings”. EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique and is a powerful tool to be used along the weight loss journey.
“As a psychologist and life coach, I use my education (EdD from Vanderbilt), experience (20+ years in private practice as a Licensed Psychologist), and my intuition, to work with women on the weight journey. In my work I have found that while woman all face different life stressors, many turn to food as a way to manage this stress. Fortunately, there are other stress reduction tools that work better, and without side effects. I am privileged to teach these techniques at Women’s Way, as each woman discovers her strengths and develops healthier coping skills, on the way to her ideal life.” – Annie
